Graphic Design Portfolio

Sample 1 (Poster):

Beacon New Music Festival - 2026

Short Explanation:

Shown is a poster I created on Canva for print circulation. This work features the four different logos of the presenting ensembles for the 2026 Beacon New Music Festival: a water color logo from Mink Duo, a group photograph from Reflections Duo, and the Beacon Ensemble logo in combination with the ‘‘tbd” logo of The Boston Troubadours. Aside from the artwork/photograph provided by Mink Duo, Reflections Duo, and The Boston Troubadours, the design is entirely my own.

The poster follows similar design trends to other advertising materials of the 2026 festival. The yellow of Beacon Ensemble’s logo (the festival host) serves as a base color, with other familiar branding identifiers being the use of Berthold Block font and the distinct hexagonal shapes formed by disproportionally distanced triangles.

The overall design expresses the bold and modern features of the contemporary music the Beacon New Music Festival seeks to present.

Sample 2 (Program Booklet): Beacon New Music Festival - 2026

Short Explanation:

Shown are sample pages from a program booklet I created on Canva for print circulation. The booklets contain multiday program information for the 2026 Beacon New Music Festival including schedules, short biographies, donation and sponsorship information, among others things.

Sample 3 (Logo):

Beacon Ensemble - 2025

Short Explanation:

Shown is a logo I designed on Canva for Beacon Ensemble in 2025. It features the prominent yellow brand color of the organization along with an offset grouping of letters. The E’s are comprised of disconnected straight lines that elicit ideas of spray painted stencils that you might find in environments such as construction sites. The logo is meant to be simplistic, modern and bold, representative of a exploratory contemporary music ensemble such as Beacon Ensemble.

Sample 4 (Social Media Postings):

Beacon New Music Festival - 2026

South Florida Clarinet Choir - 2024

Sample 5 (Web Design):

Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy - 2025-2026

Short Explanation:

Shown are various social media postings I created on Canva for the South Florida Clarinet Choir in 2024 and Beacon New Music Festival in 2026. The Beacon New Music Festival postings exhibit similar branding styles to their previous counterparts. The South Florida Clarinet Choir posting displays the burgundy branding color of the organization along with a neutral cream color to balance the color palette with the military uniforms of the visiting marine musicians.

Short Explanation:

Linked are WordPress webpages for which I was responsible for the redesign.

Example A is for the Louise Farrenc page on the Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy website (wophil.org). The page contains a short historical synopsis, as well as links to the product pages from which we sell our catalogue of her works. The redesign of this website focused on implementing several such pages so that patrons could gather a historical understanding of the composers in our catalogue and easily find our published editions of their works.

Example B is the product page for Amy Beach’s Gaelic Symphony in E Minor on shop.wophil.org. This page served as my model for every other product page I redesigned. It features increased clarity on the product description, improved categorization and tags for search optimization, and the addition of an immediate recording, a sample score and instrumentation list.
